Social responsibility

Ever since 1954, when the Krka pharmaceutical laboratory was established in Novo mesto, we have been caring for the wide social environment and the preservation of a healthy living environment. Using sponsorship and donations, it helps the society. As Krka's primary mission is enabling people to live a healthy and high-quality life, it helps people in all parts of life. It directs funds into the local environment and into national level activities.

Environmental Protection

Care for health and concern for quality of life is also reflected in our relationship with the environment. By developing high quality processes we are speeding up development of clean production, and reducing the burden on nature as much as we can. We are committed to balanced development, so we devote special attention to protecting the health of employees and the environment. We want our positive attitude towards the environment to be respected and adhered to by our suppliers, customers, shareholders and local communities. The environment is something we have to save for the generations to come.

Sponsorships

Society at large is very important for Krka, and we support it through our sponsorship and donation programmes. Because Krka's overall mission is summed up by the word »Living a Healthy Life«. Most of our donation and sponsorship work goes to projects relating to the health and quality of life. We primarily target health and humanitarian causes, however, we also support science, culture, education, environmental protection programmes, sporting activities, and various one-off project of national or international importance. Krka makes a clear distinction between its sponsorship and donation activities.

Nearly all of Krka's sponsorship and donations for non-profit activities are directed to our community at the local and national level. We also support individual activities outside our borders in our key markets.
